Polar Research, Fieldwork, and Citizen Science

Polar research is conducted in a variety of different ways. Much of the data scientists produce from polar environments comes from spending time in the field where samples are collected and analyzed. This fieldwork is often supported by citizen scientists who are able to contribute by directly collecting samples and data in areas in which they live. The films for this theme aim to highlight the work done in polar regions by scientists and citizen scientists alike.
